Day 4
I know it has been a few days since I wrote on here. But there has been some things going on that I have had to deal with. My daughter spent quite a few years living with her father in Alabama. I wasn't happy about it, but it was what was the best thing for her at the time I agreed to let her go down there. This past summer, she decided that she wanted to come and live with me. Her father didn't like it and put up a big fuss. But we eventually got her here. She is going to a local high school and has made friends. She enjoys it here and I am having some severe reservations about her going to see her father for part of her Christmas vacation. I know in my heart that her father will not keep her from coming back and finishing her school year here. But what worries me the most is when she goes to see him for the summer. She has already made it perfectly clear that she does not want to go back and live with her father. She wants to finish her high school career here and then go to college. I know that maybe I don't have the financial means that her father does to take care of her. But my love for my child is unyielding. I may not have a lot of money or the best house or even the nicest car, but my daughter has what she needs. I try very hard to get her some of the things she wants but she is also old enough to understand that the household bills come first. My reservations come from knowing her father the way that I do. He is a manipulative and scheming man. He wants things his way or no way at all. I hope and pray that when it comes time to come home after the holidays, that I will not have to fight to get her back here. And I hope and pray that when it comes time for her to come home after the summer, there will not be a fight. But I also know that if it comes down to it, nothing and no one will stop me from getting my daughter back home with me where she belongs.

Day 3
I wonder if anyone ever really knows another person. I felt like I knew my ex, and well let's just say, I wish I had known better. I am in the process of re-evaluating my life. Making some changes where they need to be made, and taking the steps that are needed to be taken to make sure that my family is taken care of financially. I will begin writing a business plan this weekend and then take it to my bank with the hopes that I can get a small business loan. I am going to start a small business out of my home for the time being. I really want to be an event planner and I know that the only way to make that happen is to jump in with both feet. One of the reasons I am starting this out of my home, is that in order to be successful it takes a large amount of faith and perseverance. And if I start out of my home, it will give me the time to build my customer base and to get my name out there. I have faith that I can do this. And I know that I have the love and support of my family.

Day 2
This is Day 2. I am planning my 20 year high school reunion and it is fun. I enjoy the planning aspects of it. I enjoy the different aspects of planning and getting everything ready. I spoke with a member of the class before us and she gave me some wonderful ideas about what we could do to make our reunion more memorable. I received our yearbook today from one of my classmates. Looking through the pictures was crazy. It was a blast from the past.
As I was looking through these pictures and wondering where I have been and where I am going, I find myself wondering how a certain relationship in my life went down the tubes. I have 2 sisters who I love very much. One of them lives close by and the other lives in another state. The one in the other state hasn't spoken to me in over three years. I have come to the decision that I am going to make this right. We are both to blame for the things that happened between us. But considering she has yet to make an effort to mend the fences, I feel, as the older sibling, I should make the first move. I have begun a letter to her that I am going to include in a Christmas card. Now, whether or not she reads it, is up to her. She may receive it, tear it up and throw it in the trash. But to know that I made the first move will be a weight off of my conscience. As I said in my first blog, this is my life and I know where I am going with it. I also know that my past mistakes are what make me who I am today. I am not happy about some of the mistakes I made. But it is in the past, and there is nothing I can do to change them. I can only push forward with my life and believe that I am where I am because I was meant to be here. Blessed Be.

Day 1
This is day 1. I have taken a mental journey over the past couple of weeks. I know where I want to be in my life. And I know what I need to do to get it. I have been working my butt off trying to get my Bachelor's degree in Business Management. I also have been working on my certification in Event/Wedding Planning. I am aspiring to start my own business at the beginning of the year. I don't have a lot of practice as far as actual events for paying customers. But I do have the experience of a lifetime of planning birthday parties for my child and I planned my own wedding. Now, mind you, some may say that I am walking a very tight rope with this endeavor. But I don't care what those people say. The only thing that is important to me is the life I share with my husband and my daughter. I want a better life for my family and this is what I feel will help us to get there. No one can tell you what you are meant to do with your life. If you can dream it, you can make it happen. Blessed Be everyone.
